Your survey responses drive future decisions about your school, and support the school improvement process.

REGISTER YOUR CHILD: Online registration for students returning for the 2024-2025 school year will open April 3
Online registration for students returning to Bensenville School District 2 for the 2024-2025 school year will begin Wednesday, April 3, and conclude Friday, April 19. It will be conducted through the District's PowerSchool student information system, and it will require parents to have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account.

Wednesday, February 28, is the end of the second trimester. On Wednesday, March 13, second-trimester report cards will be sent home with elementary students, and mailed to middle school students' homes.

WINTER WEATHER UPDATE: eLearning Days have replaced emergency ‘snow days’
District 2 now calls eLearning Days when closing schools due to extreme weather. An eLearning Day counts as a regular school day, and does not require the District to use a built-in emergency day at the end of the school year.

We’re hiring paraprofessionals to serve in a variety of different capacities. “What’s a paraprofessional?” Good question - they’re vital members of so many of our classrooms. Parapros serve as instructional aides, assisting in classroom settings under the supervision of certified teachers. Many of them work one-on-one with students to meet their unique needs.

MAKING THE GRADE: The 2023 Illinois Report Cards are available online for BSD2 schools
Both Tioga and W.A. Johnson Schools maintained “Commendable” designations this year. While Blackhawk Middle School’s cumulative score also ranked well within the “Commendable” range, it received a “Targeted” designation indicating a need to increase support for our English Learners (EL) subgroup.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Meals are now free for ALL BSD2 students!
The Illinois State Board of Education and the District 2 school board both approved the District’s participation in a different meals program - the USDA’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). In CEP, students will only need to present their ID cards in their school’s meal lines to receive a free meal.
