    Six Flags Read to Succeed is a free program that allows students in Grades K-6 to earn tickets to Six Flags Great America just by reading six hours for fun!

  • DENTAL SEALANTS PROGRAM

    Bensenville School District 2’s dental sealant program is a free on-site program that will be offered at W.A. Johnson School on TUesday, January 28, and Wednesday, January 29. 

    All students qualify for a dental exam should they choose to apply for the program. (The exam meets the state’s dental exam requirements for students entering kindergarten, second, and sixth grades.)

    Additionally, the program provides applicants who qualify for financial assistance with free dental cleaning, sealants, and fluoride treatment, as well as off-site restorative care if necessary.

  • STUDENTS INVOLVED IN TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE

    District 2 will host the 2020 Students Involved with Technology Conference on Saturday, February 22. The SIT Conference is a technology conference unlike any other: hosted by kids, for kids. Students in Grades 3-12 enjoy hands-on activities and present to their peers on the latest in STEAM topics.

  • METROPOLITAN FAMILY SERVICES' PARENTING FUNDAMENTALS

    Through the Full Service Community Schools Program, District 2 and Metropolitan Family Services will offer a series of classes titled "Parenting Fundamentals: Parent Empowerment for Family success." Intended for parents of children ages birth to 4 years old, the classes will be offered every Wednesday -- January 29 through March 18 -- from 5-7 p.m. at Johnson School. In the classes, parents will learn about supporting school success, patience and respect, building strong relationships, communication skills, positive discipline, self-esteem and self-care, substance abuse prevention, and child development.
