Summer School 2020

Due to COVID-19 and school closures, we will be continuing with a remote learning environment for summer school.

Summer school will be held during the same originally planned dates, but will be remote, as we have been doing since mid-March. Our teachers will continue to engage students in learning through technology to support their progress in reading, writing and math.

    • Dates: June 1-19
    • Student Hours:  8-11 a.m.
    • Teacher Office Hours to Support Learning: 7:30-8 a.m. and  11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Summer school registration is based on teacher recommendation.

    Technology & Materials

GRADE 2: Second-grade students will be given a Chromebook for summer programs. Chromebooks can be picked up from 4:30-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, at W.A. Johnson School, 252 Ridgewood Avenue in Bensenville.

GRADES 3-7: Schools will be sending information out to families to return their students' Chromebooks at the end of May. Your child will need to keep his/her Chromebook and charger in order to participate in the summer school (or STEM) program.  An additional drop-off date will be scheduled in late June after summer programs have ended.

    Important Message to all Parents

All parents will be sent a confirmation email that their child is enrolled in a summer program and additional information to join their classes online. Please check your email or contact the summer school administrators with further questions.
