SUMMER NUTRITION:  Free meals available across Bensenville throughout the summer

Bensenville School District 2, Fenton High School, and Bensenville Community Public Library will all be serving FREE meals to anyone 18 years and younger throughout the summer.
Dates, times, and locations are listed below.


Starting Wednesday, June 2, District 2 will distribute seven days of free breakfasts and lunches to individuals 18 years old or younger every Wednesday throughout the summer. The food will be distributed from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Tioga School, and 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. at Blackhawk Middle School.
Additionally, the District will serve free lunches to individuals 18 years old or younger while summer school is in session June 2-22 at W.A. Johnson School. The meals will be served from 11:40 a.m.-noon.


Fenton will distributing free breakfast and lunch meal bundles to anyone age 18 and younger (or their parents) between 1 and 2 p.m. on most Thursdays throughout the summer. The food is free of charge and can be picked up using Fenton’s bus lane. Food will not be provided on June 3, July 8, July 29 or August 5 but larger meal packs will be distributed during the prior Thursdays.


All children are invited to pick up a free lunch at the Library from11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesdays-Friday, June 8-August 13. The program is sponsored by the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Meals are grab-and-go and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the Youth Services Desk. Lunches will be available while supplies last.
